ఆదివారం సాంస్కృతిక కార్యక్రమాలలో భాగంగా మాదాపూర్ శిల్పారామం ఎథినిక్ హాల్ లో జ్యోతి కళాక్షేత్రం శ్రీమతి జ్యోతి రెడ్డి ఆధ్వర్యంలో వారి శిష్య బృందంచే కూచిపూడి నృత్యప్రదర్శన ఎంతగానో అలరించింది.

గణపతి అతర్ వర్షిష, పుష్పాంజలి, మహాగణపతిం, శంభు నటనం, మండూక శబ్దం, రాజశ్రీ శబ్దం, కళింగ నర్తన థిల్లాన, జతిస్వరం, థిల్లాన, తరంగం అంశాలను ప్రదర్శించారు. దాదాపు 60 మంది కళాకారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

నట్ఠవాగం – హేమంత్ లక్ష్మణ్, గాత్రం – శ్రీనివాస్ మంత్ర, మృదంగం – సిరిపల్లి నాగేశ్వర రావు, వేణువు – శేషం రమణ, వయోలిన్ – కోలంక అనిల్ సహకారం అందించారు.

ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య అతిధులుగా డా. ఎల్ల వెంకటేశ్వర్ రావు, ప్రభాకర్ రావు, IRS, దీప బాలసుబ్రమణ్యం, CEO-SEDIBUS తదితరులు విచ్చేసి కళాకారులను ఆశీర్వదించి సత్కరించారు.

Shri Ganapati Atharvashirsha was written by Atharva Rishi who had Ganpati Darshan. It is customary to invoke the name of Lord Ganesha before beginning anything.

O Lord Ganesha
I Pay my deep homage to you, the Lord of the Deva-Gana. You are the first facet of the Bramha-Tatva to arise. You have alone created this Entire universe. You alone can maintain this universe. You are indeed the all conquering supreme Lord. Indeed you are the “ATMA”..

PUSHPANJALI

It is made up of 2 words. Pushpa – flower and Anjali – folded hands to show respect.  The dancer holds flowers to offer prayers to the Trinity of God’s, goddesses, ashta dikpalakas, and scholars in dance. Pushpanjali is an offering of flowers to Indian Gods. It is the salutation to the lord of dance Nataraja, the Guru, the musicians and the audience.

MAHA GANAPATHIM

Mahaganapathy! My namaskarams to you. I meditate on You, the Great God Ganapathy. You are the one who is worshipped by great sages such as Vashishta and Vamadeva. You are the son of the Great Lord Shiva. You are always adored by ‘Guruguha’, Lord Skanda. You have a beauty and shine with the brilliance of a thousand ‘manmadhas’ –  Cuipds. You are the embodment of peace and tranquility. You love great poetry and drama. You have as the vehicle, as a mount,  a small mouse. You love the modhakas, a variety of sweet made of rice and coconut.  I bow to thee. My lord, Maha Ganapathy. This beautiful pc is composed by the Genius – Sri Muthuswamy Dikshitar.

SLOKAMS

Sloka is a powerful prayer which conveys the dignity and the omnipotence of God. Sanskrit Slokas describe God in different forms and their celestial powers. Students, who sincerely, who recite these slokas aree said to attain a steady and peaceful mind. The tiny tots of Jyothi Kalakshetram  will begin today with three slokas interspersed with a few fundamental steps, Hand gestures(mudras), Foot positions(pada bedhas) which are typically taught at the beginning of a student’s training..

SHAMBU NATANAM

At Sandhya kalam (Pradosha kalam) Shiva dances at all places not only at Chidambaram. Wherever he dances, Pathanjali muni, Vyagrapada muni, Nandhi and Bhringi will be with him. While Bhringi and Nandhi stay with Shiva always, Pathanjali and Vyagrapadar are there whenever and wherever he dances. The Shambu natana sthothram has no words with Kombu or Kaal. This was sung according to the laya/ thala of Shiva’s cosmic dance.

MANDOOKA SABDAM

Ragam: Mohana                                                  Talam: Misrachapu

There is a forest with many flowers in it. The king of elephants, Gajendra, wandering in the forest and goes to drink water in the lake. The frogs in the lake raise a loud alarm to warn the elephant that there is a crocodile in the lake. Without caring the warning, the elephant majestically enters the lake. The crocodile rushes towards the elephant and catches the elephant’s leg.

A Ding-Dong battle ensues between the strong animals. Finding himself helpless against the crocodile, Gajendra, the elephant and a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, prays to the lord for rescue, who rushes to the scene and kills the crocodile with his chakra and saves the elephant.

RAJASHRI SABDAM

KALINGA NARTHANA THILLANA

Ragam: Gambheera Nattai                                                       Talam: Adi

“Kalinga narthana” literally means “Kalinga dance” in Sanskrit, and it refers to a popular mythological story in which the god Krishna, as a young boy, danced on the on the hoods of the serpent Kaliya (aka Kalinga) to stop him from poisoning the river Yamuna.

JATHISWARAM

Jathiswaram is a tapestry of ‘Tune Beats’ and ‘Melodious’ notes which are given visual form in this item of pure dance(Nritta). There are no words to convey any meaning in this item but attractive movements of the eyes, eyebrows, neck and foot work patterns are used to create  new world of ecstasy and ethereal existence.

TARANGAM

Tarangam marks the climax of a traditional Kuchipudi recital. This item ends with a display of exquisite virtuosity as the dancers execute intricate footwork patterns by dancing on the rim of a brass plate and coordinate them with complicated rhythmic patterns.
