Andhra Pradesh: CM N. Chandrababu Naidu conducts review meeting with bankers
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that he wrote letter to Reserve Bank of India to improve cash supply to banks in the state. The Chief Minister conducted a review meeting with bankers. He said that he wrote letter to RBI one week ago and if necessary he will talk to RBI governor to improe cash supply.
The officials said that petrol bunk owners are complaining on non receipt of incentives from banks. The Chief Minister asked the bankers to submit a report on digital and non digital transactions. He said that he want to know how many recommendations made by demonitisation committee led by him are being implemented.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over collection of additional charges by bankers on cash transactions causing loss to people. He said that the RBI should react immediately to prevent recurrence of post demonitisation crisis. He asked the bankers to submit a report in next meeting to be conducted on Friday or Saturday.
