Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb comes alive at State Iftar party in city
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao reiterated that Hyderabad stands for the age-old Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb. Recollecting the historical cultural integration of people in Hyderabad since ages, CM said that Hyderabadis will not bow down to any external pressure and will continue to maintain the Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb which stands symbolic to the history and culture of Telangana state.
He was speaking as a chief guest at the Grand Iftar party hosted by the Telangana State Government here at Lal Bahadur Stadium last evening. Ulemas performed the Quranic recital before breaking the Roza for the day.
Chandrasekhar Rao conveyed his best wishes to the Muslim community on the occasion of holy Ramzan. He later distributed clothes and gifts to the poor and the needy at the venue. A large number of Muslim gentry besides top politicians, Ministers, officials took part in the Iftar party.
The Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi who was present at the party offered fruits to KCR and others.
